Recruitment help

Do you need more volunteers?

The Growth and Communities Team will be running an interactive and engaging workshop at Youlbury on the 14th of October 2023. They will be going through the tools, methods, and resources you could use to boost your teams. You’ll leave with the know-how and enthusiasm to grow Scouts in your communities and ensure your Group becomes sustainable for the foreseeable future.

We encourage everyone to come along, even if you already have lots of volunteers, if you are brand new to Scouts, or you just don’t know where to start with recruitment.

The more the merrier, so spread the word! Please sign up using this link: https://forms.office.com/e/STeMhYFCdR

Thank you ☺Jack

Thames Chiltern Winter Camp

19-21st January 2024

The District Team is excited to invite all Thames Chiltern Scout & Explorer Groups to a fun action packed Winter Camp at Youlbury.

Camp Theme: Scouting For Clues

Scout patrols will be encouraged to visit and participate in as many of the activities around the site they can and in the process, unlock clues to their secret message.

The winning patrol will be the most successful at deciphering their clues and unlocking the secret message.

All the on-site activities will be open all day for the scouts and explorers to use, there will be entertainment in the evening in the large marquee and prize giving and more activities on Sunday.

If your leaders do not have a camp permit you can still attend! All you need to do is let us know and we will ensure a permit holder looks after you.

The camp will cost £65.00 pp.

Catering will be provided for all groups on Saturday and Sunday

A £10.00 non-refundable deposit is required by 31st of October 2023.

We need your support to make this event a great success. A Leader from each group will be required to run a base on Saturday.

What better way to welcome in the New Year – come and enjoy the fun!
